In a nutshell
YASENSE Excel allows the live deployment of (standard, existing or new) Excel spreadsheet-based models or calculations, with streaming (and historical) data as inputs and live outputs, in a robust way in an industrial production environment.
What does it do and how does it work?
More and more data is collected by industries, from the production, the laboratory etc., but working with it and analyzing it, especially with streaming data, requires for most people to learn new proprietary software or new skills.
Many production, maintenance, quality and process engineers and managers already use Excel to perform calculations on production data (simulation models, data analysis, predictive or inferential models etc)
Unfortunately, they cannot use these spreadsheets on live production data for data-driven quality and reliability improvements by making continuous process adjustments.
YASENSE Excel makes it simple for anyone to process live data and differs from other tools by its focus on the robust and bi-directional deployment of (existing) Excel-based models.
It takes an (existing) Excel spreadsheet and converts it into a robust program that continuously calculates the results of the spreadsheet based on OPC or SQL inputs.
Since Excel is only used to describe the data processing and does not need to run afterwards, YASENSE Excel offers industrial-strength robustness for on-line operations.
The calculation results are published on the industrial network using OPC or stored in any SQL database.
They can be then visualised, used for automatic process control, flexible live monitoring to raise an alarm…
YASENSE Excel opens up a whole new area of production optimization opportunities.
