APC 200: Online training
The DCS and PLC have many powerful features that still remain under-utilized. This course gives you a training on PID tuning, it shows you how to build powerful optimizing controllers inside the DCS or PLC. The course explains in detail the when and how of control techniques like cascade, feedforward, constraint override, maximizing and minimizing constraint controllers, model-based controllers and dead-time compensators.
This video training on advanced process control consists of videos that can be watched at your own rythm over the course of a week. Students can call instructor at specific hours for clarifications. Participants are expected to spend in total about 21 hours watching video's and doing exercises and tests. These exercises and tests could be made during or after the training, since each participant will receive a 14 day temporary license to our process control software products SIMCET and PITOPS.
